What We Do

What is it that we do?  Simple, we are Architects.  But what does that mean?  In our experience, everyone has heard of Architects and architecture, but few really know what we do.

Architecture is the art of creating space for habitation.  Using the principles and elements of design and understanding how buildings are assembled we design structures which define the places where people live, work and play.

It is a subtle difference to be sure from what people generally think of as the role of the architect.  Most people we talk to think that we design and help get buildings built.  That is part of it, but to look at it that way is to miss the essence of our expertise.  We help you to analyze the patterns in which you want to live, work and play, and then we design spaces to promote those patterns in buildings that are beautiful, efficient and responsible.

The building is the instrument that we use to exercise our craft.  Ours is not a building business, it is a people business.

For those who want some more fact based information about us, we are licensed to practice in 3 states, we began our practice in the Lakes Area of Minnesota in 2002.  In 2019 we relocated from Minnesota to Utah and we can design just about anything including landscapes, graphics, renderings, products, trade show booths, you name it
